Just 10 miles from this tranquil village is St Davids, the smallest city in Britain. With its historical Cathedral and magnificent ruins of the medieval Bishops Palace it most certainly is a must to visit! Not forgetting the art galleries, beaches, restaurants and boat trips, there is so much to see and do in this location.
3 miles south of St Davids lies a small harbour village of Solva. The harbour is a typical sailing / boating community where you can enjoy crabbing and local fishing trips. With quaint gift shops, art galleries, restaurants and pubs. You could definitely enjoy many days out in Solva.
Traveling north just 5 miles from Mathry is the ferry boat over to Southern Ireland. Speed across on the Stenna Express in just 90 minutes or take a more leisurely 3 ˝ hour journey by super ferry with bars, restaurants, shops and much more.
