A lane behind the cottage leads down to Abermawr (1.5m) and there are lots of country lanes winding down to the coast to explore, either on foot or bicycle, as well as the wonderful walking on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
Mathry is a beautiful small village situated on top of a hill. it’s in an excellent location from which to explore the coast and tourist attractions within the surrounding area.
With a local pub serving fresh tasty food and locally caught fish; a well established woodturners, and beautiful church, Mathry is definitely a place to relax.
The small picturesque bay of Abercastle with local fishing boats and beautiful Pembrokeshire Coastal paths are less than 2 miles away.
There are plenty of sandy beaches, good pubs and restaurants nearby.
Priskilly 9 hole Golf Course and Tregwynt Wollen Mill are some of the many attractions only 2-3 miles away
How to find us......
Take the M4 westbound to Carmarthen, then continue on the A40 to Haverfordwest, follow signs for Fishguard, stay on the A40 for about 9 miles until you get to Letterston. Turn left in Letterston onto the B4331. Continue on this road for approx 4 miles until you arrive at the cross roads at the bottom of the hill. Continue up the hill into the village of Mathry. At the top of the hill turn right and take the second right and continue down road and Y Beudy is the last cottage on the left.
